Mori Hachi Yakiniku (盛八日式燒肉店) - Causeway Bay

One of the best Japanese yakiniku (grilled- meat) styled restaurant in HK. this restaurants sits in this scary looking building, if i wasn't brought there, i don't think i can ever find this little gem.  It's located in an industrial looking building and the banner is so small, it's really hard to find. the staircase looks like something out of a horror movie, i suggest you either take the elevator or run up the stairs REALLY FAST. don't look back or around!

I used to LOVE going to Gyu-Kaku in NYC and this is definitely a good substitute. the prices are about the same as Gyu-kaku.  the qualities are definitely up there as well. i love their wooden furniture and japanese style decorations. great place for business lunch/dinners and as well as romantic dinners!

Definitely order the beef and tongues and seafood! i can't wait to go eat there again! i suggest making reservations b/c it just gets really crowded!

spicy pork - too spicy for me...i usually don't eat spicy food but any spicy food lovers would definitely enjoy these!

the beef was delicious. also ordered the thinly sliced ox tongues, DELICIOUS TONGUES!!! must try!

the cucumber appetizers were AMAZING! MUST TRY!

Veggie basket, cute mushrooms!

chicken with pesto sauce

yummmmmmy!

this shrimp was a bit expensive. it was $100 for ONE!!! it's sliced into two halves. however, it was SO JUICY AND YUMMY!
